In 1967, Jerry "Pop" Klein (1916-1991) began designing and fabricating space-efficient custom closet systems from his cabinet shop in Queens, New York. This pioneer in the space-organizing industry passed on his skills and talents to his son, Jeff. After earning an Industrial Engineering degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, Jeff created Jeff Klein & Sun Inc., designers/builders of energy efficient custom homes in Savannah. As a side business, Jeff created The Closet Specialist. Currently, Closet & Cabinet Experts (dba Closet Specialist) is being led into the 21st Century by Josh Klein, his son, a third generation cabinet maker.
